Toyota reveals Fuel Cell sedan

Toyota- the Japanese car maker has revealed pricing, exterior design and hydrogen fuel cell sedan which was first unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. With everybody becoming environment conscious automobile companies are also considering going green, with green technology of fuel cell. Toyota is a step ahead by introducing first fuel cell vehicle (FCV) concept. Toyota’s fuel cell system includes a FC Stack, which generates electricity from the chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. Toyota claims that its new FCV emits only water vapor produced by the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen.The addition of side-view mirrors, toned-down lighting elements, and a few other details are the exterior designs that separate the production Fuel Cell Sedan from the concept.The car will be available in Japan by next April 2015. It is priced at Rs. 41lakh (exclusive of taxes) it will hit the US and European markets by summer of 2015.

2015 Ford Mustang Offers Glovebox

Mustang is going to be the safest car in 2015. It has eight air bags to keep you safe. One of the unique air bag is a knee glovebox which will pop out to protect the knees of those in the front row. It is not the conventional knee airbag but a special one. Ford had to go for this as it saves space. Ford has put an inflatable plastic bladder within the glovebox door.The automaker said in a press release that the active glove box provides protection similar to a conventional knee airbag; the new Mustang arrives this fall.

Hero Motocorp to set up plant in South India

Hero MotoCorp has announced its plan to setup a new plant in Southern India to cater to the region’s demand.This is going to be the sixth production facility for the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. If sources are to be believed Andhra Pradesh government is wooing Hero MotoCorp to set up a plant in the state. However it is yet to take a decision on the exact location.It could be either set up in newly carved out Telangana state or AP.The two wheeler maker is also actively pursuing its international expansion with major markets like the US and Brazil in sight. Its first full-fledged manufacturing plant outside India, in Bangladesh, comes on stream next year.
With the new facility in South India, Hero can achieve its target of producing 10 million units annually by 2017.

SUZUKI GIXXER In India

Ever since Suzuki had unveiled the Gixxer 150cc motorcycle along with the Let’s scooter, bike enthusiasts were curious to know about the sale of the former in the Indian market. It is believed that one can book the Gixxer for a booking amount of Rs 5,000. Deliveries are expected to commence in July 2014.The Gixxer is powered by a four-stroke single-cylinder engine unlike the GSR150.The engine will churn out 13.7bhp and 13.4Nm of torque (similar to GSR150).The petrol engine is equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) system which helps in improving its fuel efficiency.
This will be the fifth motorcycle model in India from Suzuki,after the Suzuki Slingshot (113cc),Suzuki Hayate (125cc), Suzuki GS150R (150cc) and the 250cc Inazuma.

 Tata nexon SUV to be unvieled at Indonesia

Tata Motors is all set to display the Nexon compact SUV at the Indonesia International Motor Show of 2014.This will give Tata Motors feedback on what car buyers in South East Asia think about the concept. Tata Motors is expanding its wings in Indonesia as it is one of the prominent ASEAN car markets. Last year it has launched several products in the country.The production version of the Nexon SUV will be launched by the half o f 2016. It is expected to be priced less than Rs. 8 lakhs for the Nexon in India, which will compete against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Volkswagen Taigun and others.
