Save Power

Save-Power

Everyone is talking about power consumption. What should we actually do to consume power? Every individual feels that they are using power as it is every day necessity. Where does the question of wasting power or saving energy arise? If we observe our activities carefully then we will understand how each individual is responsible for power wastage. If you are plugging any device for charging generally we forget to unplug, it’s always better to set up an alarm to unplug the device. Most often we switch on a fan in one room and eventually move to the other without switching the fan off. Take for instance the case of offices; everyone thinks that it is the duty of peon to switch off fan and lights and they simply leave the room. In educational institutes also students just leave projectors, computers every other electronic appliance. Sometimes even authorities forget to switch off street lights. This has to be kept under check. This is how each one contributes to power wastage on a small scale which will ultimately be wasted on large scale. In India we can’t get into festive mood until and unless we use colourful lights as decorative. Some countries do not allow the use of too much lighting even during wedding celebrations. We need to learn from them. There has to be a rule prohibiting the use of excessive lightning leading to power wastage. Authorities should chalk down illegal connections by conducting regular checkups. This way we can save power to a large extent.
