With new models being launched at fast pace and pressure to own lifestyle products increasing Hyderabadi’s are turning to second hand markets in Hyderabad. Right from gadgets to household items to automobiles and books, you name it and you get it in second hand markets. Every day a new mobile is being launched with improvised features, and it is not affordable to buy the newer one considering its price hence people go for used products. With an alternative in the form of used products one can flash a new model every now and then. For young professionals it is economic to own used gadgets or ride bikes. With prices of lifestyle products and gadgets increasing with each passing day used products markets come to the rescue of youngsters.
Be it online mode or offline mode, used products are selling like hot cakes. Used automobiles are also a good choice. There are cars ranging from six months to six years and therefore there is plenty of choice for consumers. Mercedes, Audis and BMWs continue to be favourites amongst the category of second-hand luxury cars. There is a huge demand for second hand books also. Students find solace in Koti which is an all time favorite destination for buying used books. Buying used books will bring down 50per cent charges and students can use the remaining money to spend on themselves. Some people turn to these markets to do some social service. They buy used clothes or toys and donate these items to NGOs or shelter home for poor people. It is a win-win situation for both the buyer and seller and nevertheless for agents as well.
The Hyderabadi used products market is not yet saturated and there is huge demand for such goods. The huge turnout encourages these traders to run their businesses for a living.
