Know your idioms:

1. A whale of a time 

Meaning: If you have a whale of a time, you have a great time and really enjoy yourself.
Example: I went to a karaoke club with my friends last night and we had a whale of a time. It was great!

2. Je ne sais quoi

Meaning: Generally speaking, can be used if you're feeling particularly suave to give an explanation of something of a certain unknown or indescribable quality.
Example:  The place has a certain je ne sais quoi that really attracts me.

3. Keep fingers crossed

Meaning:  To keep your fingers crossed is used in different situations where you are wishing someone luck.This can be used when you are wishing good luck for yourself or for someone else. Don't forget that this idiom uses the plural "fingers," not the singular "finger."
Example:  I'm doing my driving test tomorrow.Keep your fingers crossed for me!

4. Last but not least

Meaning:  When introducing a number of people, this expression is used to assure the audience that the last person mentioned is no less important than those previously named.
Example:  And now, last but not least, here is the final candidate.

5. Get on one's nerves

Meaning: When someone's being annoying and you're wishing they'd stop.
Example:  Hey! Tell your dog to leave me alone! He keeps sniffing me and it’s getting on my nerves.”
